This advanced research course guides students in the study of selected issues, texts, themes, and methods in New Testament studies. Students will engage the New Testament through careful exegesis, historical and literary context, theological interpretation, and responsible use of scholarly sources. Special attention is given to developing a focused research question, evaluating major scholarly discussions, constructing a clear argument, and writing a research paper that contributes to biblical and theological understanding for the church.
